Marlene's Real Estate Career | See Your Dreams Blossom | Testimonials Marlene's Real Estate Career Marlene Lily started her Sonoma County real estate career in 1987 under Morris Lukens, a broker known for his training skills. When his office closed, she moved to Willow Creek Properties (now Prudential California Realty in Sebastopol), and learned her way around the various areas of the West County. In 1994, she joined ERA Hart & Associates in Santa Rosa, where she worked as a loan broker as well as a real estate agent, and also spent long hours honing her computer skills. She moved to fast-growing Creative Property Services in 1997, where she was the top-selling agent in 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2003. In 1999, she upgraded her license from Salesperson to Broker, and launched her first web site, www.marlenelily.com. She was a member of the CPS President’s Club of top-selling agents for seven years. She has managed her own rental properties since 1972, thus gaining firsthand knowledge of property maintenance and income-property finance and tax law. In the early 1980's, Marlene designed and built a country home, adding to her hands-on real estate experience. In 2007, Marlene moved from CPS to the Samson Group, a small, non-corporate local company run by an experienced on-site broker. Being at Samson allows her more flexibility in negotiating commissions and keeps her in the driver's seat when it comes to business decisionmaking. She is very happy with her choice of Samson. Marlene is an avid gardener, and stays in shape with swimming and yoga.
